They are used for up to 14 days. Nexium 24HR Once Daily Dosing Tablets are also used to treat other conditions, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, which is a common medical condition associated with the frequent occurrence of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
Nexium 24HR Once Daily Dosing Tablets should be taken every day to ensure that they are absorbed and remain in the body for up to 14 days. Do not take Nexium 24HR Once Daily Dosing Tablets more than once a day.
This medication is not indicated in, or related to, other treatments for the symptoms of GERD including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Nexium 24HR Once Daily Dosing Tablets should be used with caution in the elderly, patients with renal impairment, patients with hepatic impairment and patients with the use of the medication in patients with pre-existing bowel disorders.
This medication may cause mild gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, or diarrhea in some individuals. If any of the symptoms worsen, or start driving you or your partner (or you) out of your house, get medical help right away. Do not use this medication if you have ever had an allergic reaction to esomeprazole or any of the other ingredients of this medication.
The most common side effects of this medication are headache, dizziness, fatigue, and muscle aches. Some individuals may experience muscle soreness or muscle pain during and after taking this medication. Tell your doctor right away if you notice any of these signs: new growth in the breasts or abnormal mammogram
This medication should not be used during pregnancy unless the benefits are clear; however, it can be safely used during pregnancy if your doctor decides there is no risk to the safety of your baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
